Importing CQ saxophone
What I thought would be a run-of-the-mill import of audio today was much more involved than expected.
The audio in question was the CQ saxophone exports, created back in this pact post, and what happened was I forgot is that, unlike fully-fledged DAWs, Maschine only handles audio through samplers and its patterns can only exist within the bounds of its scenes.
Each unique process audio file crossed three scenes, so these limitations meant that each file (16 of them) effectively had to be imported three times, and each of those imports then required trimming to correct start and end points, and positioned correctly in their respective patterns. AKA: a time sink.
Still, it's done now, and the saxophones are ready to mix.
